The venue and kick-off time for Ghana’s clash with Cote d’Ivoire in the semi-finals of the CAF U-23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) have been changed, organizers said on Sunday.

The two West African neighbours were originally scheduled to lock horns at the Al Salam Stadium on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at 17:00GMT.

The changes to that arrangement have pushed the game from that stadium and will now be played at the Cairo International Stadium. The kick-off time has also been set at 14:00GMT.

The modification to the earlier arrangements was made during a meeting by the organizers of the U-23 AFCON on Sunday in Cairo.

The other semi-final match between host nation Egypt and South Africa has also seen some changes. While the venue has been maintained, the kick-off time has been pushed to 18:00GMT.

The two games are crucial for all remaining four teams with the two that progress to the finals automatically securing qualification to the 2020 Olympic Games which will be staged in Tokyo, Japan.
