In the moment of corona virus and when Ghana’s Minister of Education is going to open schools in Ghana, the sector Minister Hon. Mathew Opoku Prempeh has written a letter to all Parents and Guardians.
In the letter, he congratulated all parents for abiding by safety protocols against COVID 19. This he believes has protected their families including students in the House. He advised them to continue guarding and teaching the children as they all await a safe moment to open the schools.
The Minister used the opportunity to introduce the Ministry of Education and The Ghana Education Service online platforms created for teaching and learning purposes.
” To that end, we have introduced a number of platforms with more development to assist children in learning. For online, we have available resources for SHS students on icampus Ghana which can be assessed at www.icampusgh.com using their BECE index number plus the last two digits of the year they wrote their BECE as their username. So for SHS three students, add 17 to the end of their BECE index number, 18 for SHS 2 and 19 for SHS 1.” He wrote.
“Also Ghana learning Tv is also available on free to air TV as well as DSTV channel 315 Gotv channel 150 and star times 312 producing content for radio broadcast soon to be available across the country” He added.
The Minister again, gave some points on how to manage and maximize children’s time at home .
The Minister ended his letter by thanking all parents again and wished them a healthy and safety stay with their children as they partner the upbringing of tomorrow’s leaders.
