Derek Owusu Boateng was born on 2 May 1983. He is a retired Ghanaian professional footballer who played as a defensive midfielder. Born in Ghana, Boateng went on to play professional football in Greece, Sweden, Israel, Germany, Spain, Ukraine, England, and the United States. He won 47 cups for the GhanaNational team, representing his country at the 2006 and 2010 FIFA World Cup.

The 37year old professional Ghanaian player with his special and unique style of playing have won many hearts of fans fans which includes old age and younger people.
