Unconfirmed reports reaching us indicate that the Guinean who escaped from isolation in Tamale has been re-arrested.

The 21-year-old Guinean lady who reportedly scaled the hotel wall to escape from the quarantine facility per sources available to us was apprehended at a community near Kumbungu.

The lady who was en route to an unknown location was identified by some residents in the area who quickly interrogated and apprehended her.

Even though the police the Northern Regional Police Command is tight-lipped over the issue, we are reliably informed that they have been duly informed and plans are underway to have her transported to Tamale.

Ten foreign nationals who were arrested in the Northern region all tested positive for coronavirus.
The group made up of eight Guineans and two Buikinabes were placed under quarantine under the directive of the Northern Regional Security Council (REGSEC).
