The year 2019 is not yet over but if there was any award for best cheeky answer of the year, Serwaa Amihere deserves to win.
The GhOne TV News anchor has shocked the world, especially Ghanaians on micro-blogging software platform, Twitter after she gave the most savage reply of all time.
The security agencies in a dawn operation on Friday arrested three suspects and seized several weapons, ammunition and explosive devices at the Citadel Hospital, at Alajo and another location at Bawaleshie near Dodowa in Accra.
The suspects are Dr. Frederick Yao Mac-Palm and Mr. Ezor Kafui, a local weapon manufacturer and Bright Allan Debrah Ofosu.
According to a statement from the Ministry of the Information, the joint operation was carried out after fifteen months of surveillance and evidence gathering on the activities of the suspects and other persons.
They stated categorically that the three persons were plotting to overtake government.
Serwaa, sharing the information in a tweet, laughed out at claims by information ministry saying, there was no way the suspects could have overthrown the Akufo-Addo led administration.
But an unhappy netizen who belongs to the governing New Patriotic Party wondered why someone who calls herself a journalist would be doubting security intelligence.
He was, at a point confused, whether the screen goddess was actually a journalist or not.
To be sure that indeed he is not mistaking Serwaa for a member of the fourth estate of the realm, he asked the broadcaster.
“Are you a journalist?” he asked.
Replying to the tweet, Serwaa who is a protégé of Nana Aba Anamoah, Ghana’s queen of savage replies wrote the unimaginable.
She wrote, “No, I’m a footballer”.
