Mother of the late dancehall musician Terry Nii Okang Mensah Adjetey popularly known as Terry Bonchaka, Mrs Charlotte Adjetey has said that she believes his son was shot to death.
The ‘Pulele’ hitmaker died on October 29, 2003, in a car crash on the Legon-Madina road while returning from a show at the Akuafo Hall Celebration at the Nation’s premier university, University of Ghana.
According to what was reported, the car in which Terry was driving suddenly veered off the road and hit a tree causing him to die at the spot.
- In an interview with Larry Bozzlz on Video Ryde, Mrs Charlotte revealed that she strongly believes his son did not run into a car crash but rather murdered.
According to her narration on why she strongly believes her son was murdered, she stated that after the death of the musician with a unique voice, dress sense and a dance routine, she never set her eyes on the dead body until he was brought from the mortuary for burial.
It was at that moment she was told to go and look at the body. That was when she realized a deformity below his chin; an indication that her son was murdered.
