It’s no secret that Reggae musician Blakk Rasta and Dancehall artist Shatta Wale have a frosty relationship. They are not friends at all which explains why Blakk Rasta jab Wale the least chance he gets.
Speaking to Foster Romanus on eTV Ghana on the Late Night Celebrity Show, the man known for his global ‘Barack Obama’ hit sing, recalled how the SM boss, who then bore the name Bandana begged him to sign him as he was struggling as a budding musician.
He said Wale was so persistent with his request that he brought in an uncle to intervene since he (Blakk Rasta) was a good friend to the uncle.
‘’I drove to Tema port to speak to his uncle and the man supported him. He will always attest to this and many more,” Blakk Rasta said.
It’s not clear if he did sign him as he did not state that in the interview (except that he said Wale’s uncle helped him) but he said Shatta Wale has decided to show him gross disrespect now that he has grown wings.
